Overproduction in fashion is one of the world’s biggest environmental threats. Alohas refuses to make that problem worse. They are committed to slow fashion practices by operating on a pre-ordering system which allows them to only produce the amount of shoes they're actually going to sell.
Since launch, their shoes have been produced in the coastal region of Alicante, Spain. Over the years, they have built meaningful relationships with their production teams and worked together on constantly improving the quality of their products. Producing locally ensures a lower carbon footprint, regular visits to manufacturing facilities by the team to ensure prime labor conditions, and in their case, careful craftsmanship by trusted artisans. The handpicked providers they work with include Leather Working Group certified suppliers.
