HOW IT’S MADE

Our ethically crafted scrunchies are made from soft, luxurious Tencel and feature elastic composed of organic cotton and natural rubber. Each one is finished with a dainty bronze COUTONIC label, hand-sewn in Orlando, Florida by slow fashion designer and COUTONIC owner, Danielle McKellar. These labels, created in collaboration with a skilled craftsman, reflect our commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability.

ABOUT TENCEL

Tencel is manufactured from Eucalyptus trees, which grow fast and thick on low-grade land, using 80% less water than cotton. The production of tencel is also done without the use of pesticides or insecticides.

ABOUT ORGANIC COTTON

This fabric is grown using methods with low environmental impact. The seeds are non-gmo, and the crop is farmed without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers - making it safer for the farmers, workers, and the entire wildlife eco-systems. The organic cotton used is also GOTS certified, meaning it has met requirements that ensure the organic status from harvest through environmentally & socially responsible manufacturing.
